Graffito

Hello. Yes. So it was quite a rainy day today, which kept me indoors for most of the time. I did ride out on my trusty steed, allowing for lovely wind-blown hair and drenched jeans...the wet look. Anyways, I ran across some nice graffito from a sunnier day. I hope you enjoy. I really do like the way the letters look so much like organisms.

Humboldt Hack Away

Wow. So, I realized it's been a long while since I posted anything. This blog has become more open ended, with the content covering art, physicality, and now health practices. "Why health practices?", you may ask..Well, because, I got sick. Ugh. Yeah. No fun, but by documenting a little bit of my healing process, I thought it might help someone find what they need, when they get ill. Anyways, I caught a decent sized flu. I did see an eastern herbalist, and she did prescribe a number of herbs and vitamins to fight the infection, and yes, they did work wonders. However, towards the end of the sickness, when the sore throat, and fever were gone, I was left with a lingering dry cough. The feeling in my throat was a dry scratchy sensation, while the feeling in my lungs was congestion. What to do? Well, I walked into my neighborhood herbal remedy shop and talked to a nice lady who works there. I told her of my symptoms, and my previous prescription. She clarified that she practiced Western Herbalism, and so, her diagnosis would come from a different foundation. What she did prescribe was a wonderful tincture aptly named, "Humboldt Hack Away." The tincture allows the remaining mucus that has built up in the respiratory tract to loosen, and thus, ejected during a cough. A productive cough, if you will. Well, my cough and I have been very productive, and I can finally take a deep breath. Thank you so much.
